Midland Senior Women's Golf Association

Monday 23rd June

132 Players entered from 36 clubs. Play ran fairly smoothly, starting at 09.09 to 14.06 at 9 minute intervals.
Everyone commented on the superb condition of the course, though some found the greens a little tricky.
The weather was fine for most of the players, except the final 6, when every organisers nightmare happened,
thunder and lighting Play was held up for about 20 minutes or so, only 1 group came in and did not continue.
Everyone had an enjoyable day.

The golf administrator Will Antony, and Lady Captain, Hilary Pearmain, were extremely helpful, finding ladies
man the registration desk,  the Halfway House and the Starters and Ball spotters on the 3rd. A friend from
My own club came along and sold the Raffle tickets for me. 84 meals were pre ordered and were paid for
when they registered, everyone seemed to be happy with their meal, lasagne was very popular.
