Midland women seniors did not shy away from playing in over 30° heat at Lingdale today. Umbrellas for shade rather than rain were the order of the day, as it was very hot and only a little breeze.  Some excellent scores were posted in this the first 4 ball Waltz competition held by MSWGA with the twist of all 4 to count on 18^th it was well received.  Comments from players on the format were very encouraging for example Angela Bateman from SVLGA sent an email saying how they enjoyed themselves on the lovely course of Lindgale, how the facilities and welcome were really good and the Senior Captain was very informative when starting them off.  She also added “We all loved the format Waltz 123 it certainly kept us on our toes it's a format we would all consider at our own clubs”.

The winners were Lorraine Chadwick Colmer - Northampton, Gill Hodgson - Cromer, Louise Harte - The Northamptonshire and Clare Hunter - Overstone scoring a very credible 82pts. 

Lingdale ladies captain Sue Godfrey and president Rona made us feel very welcome making sure everyone knew where to fill up with water and a huge thank you to the manager Andy Mee who did a great job with the cards and scores working through until the last group were in.
